Back when DUHbya was the best and brightest Republican, Conservatives crowed about being “The Party of Ideas,” as well as, Deep Thinkers. Now, they’re all scared shitless and mad as hell about everything. It’s time to tune these rude loonies out and get on with living. Don’t let the assholes wear you down. Vote for a positive future in November.
First Read – GOP watch: Boehner’s tight circle
In a National Review Online interview (via the New York Daily News, [the adulterous Newty Gingrinch] said: "This is a person who is fundamentally out of touch with how the world works, who happened to have played a wonderful con, as a result of which he is now president. I think he worked very hard at being a person who is normal, reasonable, moderate, bipartisan, transparent, accommodating — none of which was true," Gingrich said. "He was being the person he needed to be in order to achieve the position he needed to achieve…He was authentically dishonest."
At a Wasilla, Alaska, 9/11 Remembrance Rally, which Sarah Palin and Senate candidate Joe Miller attended, a Baptist pastor said this: "We have cowards in the White House. We’re afraid to say anymore that we’re a Christian nation. Islam has stated they want to rule the world, and they are taking over." …
Mike Pence at the Washington rally: “We’ve lost respect in the world. We are going broke. The American dream is dying and our social and cultural fabric is unraveling. People are scared. If we do not succeed in November, all that once was good and great about this country could someday be gone."

Clearly, dishonest cowards out of touch sums up the conservative bowel movement today. “People are scared”? Because Conservatives do everything they can to keep them scared. Is this a cynical setup for the next Ronnie Raygun’s Morning in AmeriCo: It’s OK to feel good about AmeriCo again, now that a white guy is in charge? Or are they merely content to rake in big bucks from the frightened masses for more bobblehead dolls?
Our neighbor, John Fleck, lookin’ good.
I was walking with Luke around Altura Park when John paused to say hey. He saw my camera and asked if I had taken any interesting photos – I had not, to that point. I raised my camera hand a little, pointed, clicked – all with no idea if the shot would work (the camera was nowhere near my face). I think it turned out great – praise be for autofocus.
Time marches on. One year ago today, someone broke into our house. It was unpleasant, of course, but eventually you say ‘screw those jerks’ and move on.
The burglary was the third strike in 10 weeks: Mer’s car wreck, Lucky’s death, then, the burglary. Difficult times for us, though we know people who suffered far worse. And, the old makes way for the new: Mer inherited a car; we met Luke; and we got some nice security doors. The thieves are certainly no better off than they were a year ago, when their pathetic lives plowed into ours. Jerks.
Ezra Klein – Why elections matter, in one graph
This graph, for instance, is the best visualization I’ve seen of Larry Bartels’s striking data showing how different income groups do under Republican and Democratic presidents:
George Clooney is one of the few actors who can make any role interesting. He’s got something special. However, this remake of a 30-year-old Russian movie (from a Russian novel) wasn’t really worth my time. It was atmospheric. It was pretty, at times, with dramatic shifts between bright and dark scenes. The music could have been by Tangerine Dream. But, it lost something in translation.
When I chose this date to announce AINO What’s Best for AmeriCo, a Campaign for Greatness Reclaimed, I had no idea this was also the anniversary of the first time Glen Beck traded sex for drugs. (Give him credit for realizing Limbaugh’s Confederate money would only buy Tea Party merchandise.)
