Praying mantis stalks hummingbirds
raccoon thirsty and unafraid
Raccoons visit our fountain. This one is especially cute and thirsty. Note the fountain was off until the camera sensed movement and that triggered the fountain. I thought the fountain coming on suddenly might spook a raccoon. Nope, this one found it interesting. I also thought a light coming on suddenly would spook it. Nope, but it does improve the video.

Many years ago, there were no blackhawks in the Albuquerque bosque. However, now there are a few, including nesting pairs. They are big bold birds with quite a call, heard in this video.
