{"id":9,"date":"2005-09-10T14:32:10","date_gmt":"2005-09-10T20:32:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mjhinton.net\/mjh\/uncategorized\/9\/"},"modified":"2005-09-12T17:24:42","modified_gmt":"2005-09-12T23:24:42","slug":"9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edgewiseblog.com\/mjh\/loco\/9\/","title":{"rendered":"Reject the Right&#8217;s \r\n\r\nWrongs"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote  \n<p> \nclass=\"mine\">I wrote at <a title=\"Duke City Fix -- Is As\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dukecityfix.com\/index.php?itemid=854\">Duke City Fix<\/a> about <\/p>\n<p>a piece of campaign literature from Brad Winter that has an embarrassing typo (and two inexplicably underlined sections). <\/p>\n<p>Over <\/p>\n<p>there, I chose not to say what bothers me most about this piece &#8212; the title of the committee that paid for the flyer: &#8220;Committee to <\/p>\n<p><em>Restore Honesty and Integrity<\/em> to City Politics, a committee of the Republican Party.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is nauseating and typical of <\/p>\n<p>the Radical Right. This simple committee name declares that heretofore City Politics have been dishonest, but the Republicans (of all <\/p>\n<p>people) will restore it. That is a specious claim that slanders many good people of various political affiliations. Republicans have been <\/p>\n<p>doing this smear for years, and it has served them very well. <strong>It&#8217;s ugly and rude.<\/strong> Citizens need to stop rewarding the <\/p>\n<p>Radical Right&#8217;s despicable tactics and start punishing them, instead. <span class=\"sig\">mjh<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I wrote at Duke City Fix about a piece of campaign literature from Brad Winter that has an embarrassing typo (and two inexplicably underlined sections).
