It\u2019s like saying \u201cthere is no word for [untranslatable] in our language.\u201d Pi is compact, elegant, integral to examining the natural world. It\u2019s translation into Arabic numerals is comical. Pi is smoothly analog. Its numeric rendition is arbitrarily digital, cut off from the continuum.
