I think our city has lost its collective soul with the defeat of the minimum wage ballot proposition in the election <\/p>\n

yesterday. It appears the Chamber of Commerce has been successful in its effort at denying a ‘leg up’ to all of our most needy workers. <\/p>\n

This is after their most affluent members got Bush tax decreases at the expense of those same minimum wage workers.<\/strong> And <\/p>\n

so the chamber of commerce has wounded and divided our city and they will need to figure out a way to fix it. Soon. [mjh: Jim, a house <\/p>\n

Yes, it was a close vote and nearly half the people voted for it. Nearly isn’t enough when <\/p>\n

large amounts of money are used to fund development of lies to be thrown at a public too busy to do fact finding themselves.<\/p>\n
