As if the government is some nebulous collective out there \u2013 some disembodied \u201cthem.\u201d Our government is us. It\u2019s how we accomplish things collectively that we could not accomplish as individuals. It\u2019s how we look out for the common good. It\u2019s how we manage the big picture when it comes to issues like natural resources, air pollution and ever-rising health care costs.
