No. Delivery scheduling? Yes! [updated]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have a suggestion for Amazon, UPS, FedEx, et al.: Let customers schedule a delivery or set a window. I\u2019ve been a hostage at home all day waiting for a package. Why? Because \u201ctracking\u201d only tells me what happened 12 hours ago. I can expect my package \u201cby end of day.\u201d Seriously, that\u2019s the best they can do in the age of computers? <\/p>\n<p>At the very least, give me real tracking, not \u201cout for delivery\u201d (whenever). I\u2019ll get a text message *after* delivery, but I can\u2019t have one saying it will be here in less than an hour or more than 8?<\/p>\n<p>I know many people don\u2019t particularly care when a package comes. Ironically, I often home all day, anyway. But, when it matters, I should be able to say \u201cdeliver after 5pm\u201d or \u201cdon\u2019t deliver between 10am and 2pm.\u201d That would that be <em>great<\/em> service.<\/p>\n<p>Updated 8:33pm<\/p>\n<p>Sigh. After 7pm, I emailed FedEx. I was surprised to hear back within minutes. They say package was never turned over to them. No comment on their own site reporting the package was In Transit.<\/p>\n<p>I chatted with Pedro at Amazon Help. He said sorry, he\u2019d refund the $3.99 I paid for one-day shipping.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m normally patient. I let Amazon\u2019s promises get to me. Live and learn.
