{"id":43,"date":"2005-09-29T17:41:02","date_gmt":"2005-09-29T23:41:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.edgewiseblog.com\/mjh\/?p=43"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2005-09-29T23:41:32","slug":"los-lunas-commuter-van-halts-rides-to-albuquerque","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edgewiseblog.com\/mjh\/uncategorized\/los-lunas-commuter-van-halts-rides-to-albuquerque\/","title":{"rendered":"Los Lunas Commuter van \r\n\r\nhalts rides to Albuquerque"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.news-bulletin.com\/news\/54699-09-28-05.html\">The News-Bulletin: Commuter van halts rides to <\/p>\n<p>Albuquerque<\/a> by Jane Moorman News-Bulletin Staff Writer; jmoorman@news-bulletin.com<\/p>\n<p>Los Lunas Commuters using the Village of <\/p>\n<p>Los Lunas&#8217; transportation van to travel to jobs or school in Albuquerque each day are having to scramble to find rides. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The <\/p>\n<p>commuter van had a limited route into Albuquerque with stops at the University of New Mexico and the hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>Otero said there <\/p>\n<p>was light use by area residents but there were several established riders who depended upon it. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are working as hard as we <\/p>\n<p>can to get the Rail Runner up and running,&#8221; said Chris Blewett, director of transportation and planning services for Mid-Region Council <\/p>\n<p>of Governments, which is coordinating the commuter rail project.<\/p>\n<p>Originally Gov. Bill Richardson set the start-up date as November <\/p>\n<p>of this year, but now that date has been moved to late 2005 or early 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Work on the rail platforms in Los Lunas and Belen has <\/p>\n<p>not begun.
