The stage on which Boehner spoke featured a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/0511\/54356.html\">who\u2019s who of financial moguls<\/a>, including conservative <font style=\"background-color: #ffc000\">billionaire David Koch<\/font>, co-owner \u2014 along with his brother Charles \u2013of the oil conglomerate Koch Industries, and a major funder of right-wing advocacy and tea party groups. Last Thursday, the Florida legislature did its part by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/news\/politics\/os-elections-bill-passes-20110505,0,5079742.story\">passing<\/a> a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfloridahouse.gov\/sections\/Bills\/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=46543&amp;SessionIndex=-1&amp;SessionId=66&amp;BillText=&amp;BillNumber=&amp;BillSponsorIndex=7&amp;BillListIndex=0&amp;BillStatuteText=&amp;BillTypeIndex=0&amp;BillReferredIndex=0&amp;HouseChamber=H&amp;BillSearchIndex=0\">128-page<\/a> \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/floridaindependent.com\/25610\/houses-proposes-sweeping-rewrite-of-state-election-laws\">sweeping rewrite<\/a>\u201d of the state\u2019s elections laws with \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/news\/politics\/os-elections-bill-passes-20110505,0,5079742.story\">head-spinning speed<\/a>\u201d that now heads to Gov. Rick Scott (R) for signature. Passed along a party-line vote, the bill \u2014 HB 1355 \u2014 contains several provisions that drastically alter election laws to disadvantage and disenfranchise voters across the state \u2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/2011\/05\/09\/florida-voter-law\/\">ThinkProgress \u00bb Florida GOP Passes Radical Overhaul Of Election Law, Jeopardizing Voting Rights Of Elderly, Military, Students<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/2011\/05\/05\/average-ceo-navy-seal\/\">ThinkProgress \u00bb GRAPH: An Average CEO At America\u2019s Big Corporations Earns 200 Times The Salary Of A Navy SEAL<\/a> <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>In the wake of their successful assault on Osama Bin Laden\u2019s hideout, ABC News did a short feature on the Navy Seals. <strong>The report tells us that the people who hold this highly demanding and dangerous get paid about $54,000 a year.<\/strong> It then adds that: <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe base salary level [of Navy Seals] is comparable to the average annual salary for teachers in the U.S., which was $55,350 for the 2009-2010 school year, according to the Digest of Education Statistics.\u2019 That is one possible comparison. There are other possible reference points. <strong>For example, the CEOs of Goldman Sachs and J.P.
