It was a great trip with many highlights, most dramatic of which was seeing \u2013 and photographing! \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/picasaweb.google.com\/lh\/photo\/lU2v3h4QvWeumw5CBmK5JA?feat=directlink\">the resplendent quetzal<\/a>. The following link is to my abridged journal with photos.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mjhinton.com\/wild\/?p=627\">Ah, Wilderness! \u00bb Trip to Guatemala 2010<\/a> <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Eight friends traveled for 12 days in Guatemala at the end of February and beginning of March, 2010. Our trip was organized and lead by Dr David Mehlman, ornithologist &amp; friend, with the help of Bitty Ramirez-Portilla and Miguel Marin, among other local guides and hosts.
