Thanks.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>Inception was OK. There were a couple of scenes that were spectacular in effect and vision. All the actors were good enough. I\u2019m always happy to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt.<\/p>\n<p>However, the soundtrack was dreadful: loud, ponderous, even pompous music pounding almost non-stop. Why? And why bother with a dream inside a dream inside a dream if two of them are taken up with chase sequences out of a Bond movie (well, only one of those rose to Bondian levels). When you have such an exciting notion as everyone in a dream instantly turning on invaders, why throw that away with militarization. Guns are stoopid, especially in dream-time. We\u2019ve all seen the Matrix; don\u2019t need to see it again. The movie should have been at least a half hour shorter.<\/p>\n<p>Makes me want to see Dark City again \u2013 a far better movie.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2023-08-17: this review is 13 years old.
