What a great idea! Sadly, the bags don\u2019t live up to the promise. The photo shows two bags. The one on the left sat in full sun, while the other was in our compost pile (not buried). I don\u2019t know exactly how long these bags have been exposed to the elements, including New Mexico\u2019s monsoon season, but it is more than the 13 weeks the bag says it takes to completely compost.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.edgewiseblog.com\/mjh\/wp-content\/mine\/Balderdash_9A59\/DSC018202.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"DSC01820 (2)\" border=\"0\" alt=\"DSC01820 (2)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.edgewiseblog.com\/mjh\/wp-content\/mine\/Balderdash_9A59\/DSC018202_thumb.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"484\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve picked up one of these bags, you know they make such a weird and load rustling noise. No one sneaks a chip without the rest of the household knowing about it.
