We need to remind ourselves of these conservative values because conservatives themselves can’t recall them. (Studies do indicate that living in constant fear does affect memory.) Case in point: Conservative objections to a murderer being sentenced to two whole years in prison. Gasp, the horror, the injustice!<\/p>\n
It seems that it is better than OK — it’s laudable — to chase someone down the street and kill them on the *suspicion* that they broke into your car. Hell, it’s in the bible, right? That’s why we have guns, right? Well, as long as you’re white and a family-values poster child.<\/p>\n
