CDF reports some positive news, particularly that average scores for members of Congress \u201cimproved from the previous three years with more Members scoring 100 percent than in 2004, 2005 or 2006.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Many, however, did not fare so well. Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) received a 10 percent rating \u2014 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.childrensdefense.org\/site\/DocServer\/2007_Scorecard_bestworst.pdf?docID=6422\">the worst in the U.S. Senate<\/a>. &#8230; <\/p>\n<p>McCain has missed <a href=\"http:\/\/projects.washingtonpost.com\/congress\/110\/senate\/vote-missers\/\">57 percent of Senate votes<\/a> this session, being absent or voting \u201cpresent\u201d for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.childrensdefense.org\/site\/DocServer\/2007_Scorecard.pdf?docID=6401\">8 out of 10<\/a> children-related votes. &#8230; <\/p>\n<p>McCain\u2019s CDF score has steadily declined over the years.
