I passed this herd of elk at 50 or 60 mph. It took a moment to register what I had just seen <\/p>\n<p>so close to the road. I turned around, turned on my camera, and slowly drove back, sure I would spook them. They were very generous in <\/p>\n<p>posing just long enough. Most of them seem to be looking towards traffic from Pie Town, while the others look at me.
