Now, I find I have been quoted in just such a case.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a title=\"NMSR Home Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nmsr.org\/\">New Mexicans for Science and Reason<\/a> March 2006 Newsletter<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><big>Hinton on Gammill&#8230;<\/big><\/p>\n<p>NMSR has been arguing with Intelligent Design<br \/>\ncreationist Paul Gammill for a decade. Albuquerque blogger<br \/>\nMark Justice Hinton jumped into the fray last September, after<br \/>\nanother of Gammill&#8217;s letters was published in the Albuquerque<br \/>\nJournal. Hinton wrote &#8220;Because we haven\u2019t explained it, we<br \/>\ncan\u2019t ever? Thank god that perspective didn\u2019t take hold before<br \/>\nthe Enlightenment (though the same people tried their<br \/>\ndarndest to hang onto the Dark Ages). Genetic code is a<br \/>\nlanguage? So, is the author crediting god with all language,<br \/>\ntoo? Or, as the creators of language, can we also create life?<br \/>\nNO exceptions or no known exceptions? ID proponents seem<br \/>\nvery quick to embrace endless ignorance. Gammill seems to<br \/>\nconfuse the way he views the world with the way the world is.<br \/>\nCommon mistake among the arrogant. &#8230;&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Nice to see other folks are getting it!<\/p>\n<p>www.edgewiseblog.com\/mjh\/001053.htm\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"mine\"><p>Dear NMSR,<\/p>\n<p>I am surprised and honored to find myself implicitly among reasonable New Mexicans. In the interest of fairness, I will admit ample evidence to the contrary, though I hope no evidence of me being anti-science can be found.
