Scarantino? Never heard of him.

"The

Alibi?" Does anyone read that anymore?

But lots of chicken hawk [Republicans] pretend to be "independents" when their party looks

bad.

They think it absolves them of responsibility for the crimes of the folks they supported and voted for, but in fact it only

makes them seem childish and dishonest.

Like Republicans have been for at least a half century.

Well

said. Jim Scaratino flip flops as much as John McCain does- just two years ago he had his big public revelation about how awful the GOP

is and very publicly announced his disavowal of the the party and began self-identifying as an independent. Now when the chips are down

Scaratino is back to his old self, bashing not only Obama but Udall and Heinrich as well. Typical of GOP opinion makers, he has nothing

positive to say about his favored candidates (McCain, Pearce, and White.) Instead he chooses to smear their opponents using the Rove

model - guilt via tenuous association.

I haven't read this week's Alibi yet but I've been rolling my eyes all morning to get

them good and loose so that I don't sprain them when I do read it this afternoon.
