From his early days in New York at the venerable Sign of the Dove, pianist and vocalist John Osnes has been performing standards from the Great American Songbook along with Broadway and contemporary favorites at such venues as the Omni Berkshire Place Hotel, Ada Maison de L’Inde Restaurant, Joanna’s, and this past holiday season at the St. Regis Hotel.
John is frequently asked to perform at private events. He has played in this capacity for Al Gore, Neil Simon, Rupert Murdoch, Kitty Carlyle Hart, Jeff Greenfield, and many others.
Luminaries such as Ronny Whyte and various cabaret artists perform John’s original compositions at such locations as the Carlyle and Pierre hotels and the Knickerbocker Bar and Grill in New York, and the Plush Room in San Francisco. Deborah Rath of CD101.9 FM recorded his signature song Make My Manhattan Hot on her Salute to a Century of Jazz cd. Mychelle Colleary also includes Manhattan Hot on her soon-to-be-released cd.
